Glendalough is a DON"T MISS spot in Ireland. If pressed for time we could have skipped Dublin, but not Glendalough. This was a monastery founded by St. Keven, in the 7th century and thrived right up into the 12th or 13th century. Powerscourt Gardens was a great stop on the way back to Dublin. It is a a spectacular English style formal garden. Only takes an hour or two. It rained all during the Glendalough visit, but cleared up a bit for Powerscourt. And.... in random comment, you can get an ice cream cone at the gardens.
