We wanted one night in a castle. Kilronan Castle fit the bill and the bill didn't kill us. The meal was the best we had in Ireland. Trim castle was our last big stop in Ireland and it was impressive !! Hundreds of years of history piled up in level after level of tower house surrounded by a massive fortification with innovations added for seige warfare.
